Newmarket Driving School terms and conditions
Driving instructor conduct Your driving instructor will be licenced by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) to provide qualified instruction for pay. All of Newmarket Driving School's instructors abide by the DSA's code of practice.
Your driving instructor will behave in a professional and polite manner at all time. Physical contact will be avoided at all times except during the course of greeting, an emergency or any situation where your safety is at risk.
Driving licence and eyesight You must hold a current valid licence, either provisional or full. Your licence must be produced on the first lesson. You must also be able to read a number plate from a distance 20.5 metres (67 feet) using your glasses if normally worn.
Payments Lesson payments should be made at the beginning or after each lesson.
Where the instructor in unable to undertake pre-paid lessons for any reason, either a full refund will be given, or the lesson will be rescheduled to a convenient time for both the instructor and the pupil.
Lesson Cancellation You will need to give a minimum of 48 hours notice should you need to cancel a lesson. Any lessons cancelled within this period must be paid for in full before any further lessons will be booked.
Use of the vehicle In the interest of yours and the publics safety, we reserve the right to withdraw the use of the training car for the driving test, if in our opinion, your driving is potentially or actually dangerous.
Punctuality After arriving at your nominated pick up point for your lesson but there is no reply at the address in question, we will wait approximately 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes, you have not made contact or we are unable to reach you, the lesson will be abandoned and you will be required to pay for the lesson(s) in question.
Complaints Newmarket Driving School act as an agency between yourself and your instructor. All of our instructors are self-employed individuals. In the unlikely event that you have a complaint regarding your driving lessons, any issues should at first be raised with your driving instructor.
